Maslow’s  hierarchy of needs has been adapted and modified for the context of design. From the low-level to high, the needs are: Functionality, Reliability, Usability, Proficiency and creativity. The last is least obvious is when all the needs have been satisfied, suer will begin to interact with the design or system in innovative ways.
