One of menu possible design solution that renders possible, open parametic faceted search on the front end, in this case I’m using mega menus, you can see I’ve mapped out all the states for the menus and, of course one can place any content format where the numbered buttons are shown, there are drawbacks to this method of surfacing faceted such as it would require some thoughtful page architecture to ensure feedback is instant and the user doesn’t wait at all.
